On Saturday, May 11, Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard and the Orange County Chamber of Commerce hosted a grand opening in Locust Grove, VA, at 32385 Constitution Highway.
Starting at 3 p.m., the new location rewarded the first 50 guests in line with Free Rita’s Italian Ice for a Year!*. From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., guests were invited to enjoy photo opportunities with Rita’s mascot Ice Guy, merchandise giveaways, a face painter, and more. Additionally, the store offered guests a $2 Small Italian Ice and a $3 Small Gelati all day on Saturday, May 11.
To officially commemorate the opening of Locust Grove’s Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard location, local franchisee Michelle Rabe hosted the shop’s official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. In addition to the celebration, Michelle donated 10% of total sales on Saturday, May 11, to each of the following organizations: Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Lake of the Woods Fire Department, and Mine Run Volunteer Fire Company.
